FAQ

Q. How much does the Pranām program cost?

A. Pranām Online: $550 per person per level

Pranām On-Site Commuter: $550 per person per level (covers lunches and some suppers but no lodging and no breakfast)

Pranām On-Site with Lodging: $850 per person per level (covers lodging and all meals)

Q. Can I get a discount?

A. We offer a group discount. For groups of 8-12 people we offer a flat rate of $4,400 per group per level.

Q. Where does Pranām On-Site take place?

A. We hold Pranām in different locations throughout North America (and potentially in other countries) within or near a Hindu community. We set dates and locations based on the needs of participants and the availability of our facilitators. To run the program successfully, we need at least six participants and two facilitators. If you know people in a specific area who are interested in the training, please let us know, and our team will let you know if we can arrange a time and location that works for you.

Q. can i receive college credit for attending the Pranām program?

A. Pranām participants can earn academic credit only if they can arrange it with a school they are already enrolled in. A professor of record at their school must approve the Pranām syllabus and then register the student for a directed study course (which usually involves additional costs through the school's registrar). To earn academic credit, a student must complete two consecutive levels of the Pranām program and complete all the additional assignments included in the Pranām syllabus for those seeking academic credit. All assignments must be turned in to the Pranām Director to be graded, and then the Pranām Director will submit the graded assignments to the professor of record.

Q. Can my spouse/friend/coworker attend some of the modules without completing the whole program?

A. The Pranām program follows the cohort model, so only people who apply and are accepted as full members of the cohort can attend the meetings.

Q. Can we do a shorter version of the program?

A. No, the Pranām program is designed to be completed in its entirety. You may choose to only participate in level one, but it cannot be shortened beyond that. Special considerations may be made on a case by case basis for groups with exceptional experience.

Q. I’m Planning a trip to South Asia. How can The Pranām Collaborative learning Program help?

A. We can arrange to integrate the Pranām program into your trip during your preparation, travel, and debriefing. For Pranām participants and alumni we also offer consulting services to help you plan an exposure trip that will ensure personal growth in understanding and valuing Hindu culture through first-hand experiences.

If your college has specific cross-cultural internship requirements, please send them to us and we will let you know if we can help you plan an exposure trip that will meet those requirements.
